Organic Veggies

Home Gardening Helps Save Our Environment

I am not suggesting that I am doing everything I can do to save our enviroment. However, I believe that many of us, when equipped with knowledge, will do the right thing. Growing veggies in your back garden and composting all green waste to make soil is a positive step to saving our enviroment. Also choosing to eat vegan style is a big help!

Sunflowers are beautiful

"If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, we would have no more than few years to live."

Growing sunflowers for their beauty is one thing but helping the bees survive is also a good reason.

The seeds are yummy roasted or you can just grow sunflower for the smiles.

It's Winter

Even though it's cold you can still grow some fantastic food. You just have to keep rugged up when you go outside!. Living near the coast means no frost so it's a wonderful time to be out in the garden with cooler days & fresh air.

Potatoes

Plants propagated from tubers are clones of the parent, the tubers are highly digestible and supply vitamin C, protein, thiamin, and niacin. The name "spud" for a potato comes from the digging of soil (or a hole) prior to the planting of potatoes.

Greg Cogar

You must know by now that I really enjoy growing organic veggies. My wife Elsie is a fabulous cook so yummy and healthy food is a given.

Creating an organic garden and maintaining it is something everybody should try if they get a chance.
