Organic Veggies

Home Gardening Helps Save Our Environment

I am not suggesting that I am doing everything I can do to save our enviroment. However, I believe that many of us, when equipped with knowledge, will do the right thing. Growing veggies in your back garden and composting all green waste to make soil is a positive step to saving our enviroment. Also choosing to eat vegan style is a big help!

Sunflowers are beautiful

"If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, we would have no more than few years to live."

Growing sunflowers for their beauty is one thing but helping the bees survive is also a good reason.

The seeds are yummy roasted or you can just grow sunflower for the smiles.

It's Autumn

You may have heard me say, "I love Autumn it's my favorite season!". It's true for me as I find the temperature and weather the best part of the year.

Some of the leaves change colour and the mushrooms appear, it's a wonderful time to be out in the garden with cooler days & fresh air.

Toatsoi

A tasty, spoon-shaped leafy green that looks somewhat like a cross between spinach an bok choy. Tatsoi's taste is similar to spinach and has been described as sweet, tangy, mustardy and earthy.

You must know by now that I really enjoy growing organic veggies. My wife Elsie is a fabulous cook so yummy and healthy food is a given.

Creating an organic garden and maintaining it is something everybody should try if they get a chance.
