Organic Veggies

Home Gardening Helps Save Our Environment

I am not suggesting that I am doing everything I can do to save our enviroment. However, I believe that many of us, when equipped with knowledge, will do the right thing. Growing veggies in your back garden and composting all green waste to make soil is a positive step to saving our enviroment. Also choosing to eat vegan style is a big help!

Sunflowers are beautiful

"If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, we would have no more than few years to live."

Growing sunflowers for their beauty is one thing but helping the bees survive is also a good reason.

The seeds are yummy roasted or you can just grow sunflower for the smiles.

It's Summer

Usually the warmest season of the year, between spring and autumn. Summer can get very hot. Mulching the garden to aviod the beds drying out is a must. Longer days mean more time in the garden but be careful and wear a hat and use sunglasses!

Kale

Kale is a popular vegetable and a member of the cabbage family. It is a cruciferous vegetable like cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, collard greens and Brussels sprouts. There are many different types of kale. The leaves can be green or purple, and have either a smooth or curly shape.

Greg Cogar

You must know by now that I really enjoy growing organic veggies. My wife Elsie is a fabulous cook so yummy and healthy food is a given.

Creating an organic garden and maintaining it is something everybody should try if they get a chance.
